National Media Workshop (NMW)
1. Background
National Defence University (NDU) conducts the National Media Workshop (NMW) annually since 2007. The workshop is organized for parliamentarians, representatives of media, government institutions, academia and civil society.
2. Aim
To enhance awareness of selected representatives of media to enable them to play a constructive role in advancing national interests of Pakistan.
3. Scope To broaden the horizon of the participants through lectures and discussions to highlight the following:-

Emerging dynamics of Pakistani media: opportunities and challenges.
- Understanding the concept of national security, external/internal threats and core issues confronting Pakistan
-
Role of media in advancing national interest as an element of power.
- Media as an element of national power.
4.
Conduct / Attendance So far nine such workshops have been conducted by ISSRA. A total of 552 individuals have participated in these workshops. For queries please contact followings:
